for independent outdoor enthusiasts – all year round – or just chilling out! .

Blacksmiths Hostel offer
excellent holiday hostel and bunkhouse accommodation which is ideal
for cost effective budget touring around Scotland, outdoor activities
… and is some of the very best you will find in Scotland! Our hostel accommodation is great for extended families, groups of friends or clubs all year round. The accommodation is available to be booked as complete units of 10 or 14 persons or as rooms for 4 or 6 persons for 1 night upwards.The Smiddy Bunkhouse sleeps 10 persons in a family ensuite room for 4 persons plus a bunkroom for 6 with its own shower room. The accommodation is fully self catered, self contained, with a fully equipped kitchen, dining, eating & sitting area with access to a drying and laundry room. Blacksmiths Hostel sleeps 14 persons in two bunkrooms for 4 persons and one for 6 persons. This is also fully self catered, self contained, with a fully equipped kitchen, dining, eating & sitting area with access to a drying and laundry room. Plus there is a large entrance porch.
• Snowgoose Apartments are first floor level, self contained accommodation within our compact
complex. The apartments are ideal for extended families for short breaks
or longer holidays at all times of the year. Farriers apartment sleeps 6-8 persons, Forge & Anvil sleep 2-4 persons each.
Located
right at the start of the Caledonian Canal and Great Glen Ways at the head of
the tidal waters of Loch Linnhe, and at start of The Road to the Isles we
are at a unique geographical hub out to the west and north highlands.
Nearby
local attractions include walking in our fantastic glens and forests; local
& steam trains running from our doorstep (“The Harry
Potter” & Jacobite train); quiet roads to explore the Highlands by
car, cycle or motor bike; accessible mountain bike trails; boat trips; fishing
from the nearby pier; golf, gondola rides to access our ski area at Nevis
Range; ski-ing & snow boarding at Nevis Range & Glencoe in winter; an
excellent local museum & nearby geological display; The Lochaber Geopark;
