This Romantic candlelit Restaurant in Port Appin, near Oban on the West Coast of Scotland has consistently held 3 rosettes for over 25 years and has also been in the good food guide for 40 years.  It is reputed to be one of the best in Scotland and has proved to be very consistent over the years in terms of high quality.  The choice menu uses only the best local and seasonal produce with a good choice of locally caught fish or meat and the desserts are simply to die for!  There is also a 7 course Tasting Menu with or without matching wines and this is to be highly recommended.  The views from the restaurant are stunning and during the summer and early autumn you get the most amazing sunsets which often temporarily clears the room as guests rush out to take photo's!  This is a destination restaurant where fine dining meets friendly and relaxed service.  The hotel also serves one of the best Champagne Full Afternoon teas in the area and prides itself on this simply relaxed pastime with friends or relatives.
