The oboes join in to bring to life the dances at the Capulets ball, and the thrilling street brawls between the rival Veronese families in Prokofiev’s Romeo & Juliet Suite. The concert rounds off with Beethoven’s entertaining, well-crafted and virtuosic Octet. Delightful!
